They include audience participation.
Ger Wolfe and Gerry Murphy - singer and poet. 4.30pm
Ger Wolfe and Gerry Murphy will perform together, mixing song and poetry in an unique performance. Ger Wolfe has been steadily making a name for himself as one of the most respected singer/songwriters in the country. The Cork born songwriter has produced 4 critically acclaimed albums over the last decade. Ger’s songs have a special appeal to sensitive souls.
Colm Ó’Snodaigh – Singer. 3.30pm
Colm Ó’Snodaigh is a composer, musician and writer. Perhaps best known as a member of the band Kila, he has recently released his first solo album Giving. It is a collection of thirteen self-penned songs in English and in Irish. Songs full of stark beauty, majestic soundscapes, honest emotion and gentle reflection. Kila is, of course, one of the most popular bands in Ireland; the opportunity to hear Colm perform solo is un-missable.
The Legend Of Luke Kelly. 8pm
Luke Kelly will always be remembered by the vast majority of Irish musicians as the greatest folk singer/artist of the 20th century, if not all time. His voice was as powerful as it was unique. He died in January 1984, a young man still, with so much singing still to do. Luke Kelly is a legend and will not be forgotten.
Chris Kavanagh and The Patriots have been performing their tribute to Luke Kelly for many years and have been the first to tribute that great man. Lead singer Chris bears a remarkable ressemblance to Luke while his singing talent captures his depth and passion. He is joined by accomplished musicians who all consider it an honour to bring Luke’s memory to the live stage in the ultimate tribute to the King of balladeers.
