Greet the morning each day with the ancient chinese art form of Tai Chi. Learning this movement can help you reach a state of inner calm, whilst at the same time strengthening the body, by improving body awareness and flexibility. It will be led by Sarah Crosbie, Tai Chi teacher and practitioner of ten years. Suitable for all age groups and no previous experience necessary.

Founded in 1852, Leinster Sports Club is an integral part of the Rathmines. Located opposite the old Renault garage on Observatory Lane it is well known for its family friendly atmosphere and offers cricket, tennis, bowls, squash, table tennis and bridge. The club is delighted, once again, to host Rathmines Festival and especially the opening ceremony.

Tibetan Bowls with Paul Curtin. 1pm – 3pm. St. Louis High School. €10

“Tibetan Singing Bowls and Chanting the Shakras” with Paul Curtin, Usui Tibetan Reiki Master. You will be toning the ancient secret vowels of the Vedas, which will bring harmony and balance to the energy centres (chakra system). Then there will be a guided deep relaxation followed by a sonic shower of Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, bells, tingshaws and some percussion instruments.

Healing on all levels, spiritual, mental, emotional and physical is the intended outcome for all. Opportunity to play and explore the instruments. Singing bowls and CDs available for purchase. Also suitable for teenagers. Please bring a cushion and blanket along for your own comfort.
